The Sound Of Silence Versus The Sound

The Sound of Silence is the Missa Lector, also called Low Mass. Today’s Tridentine Latin Mass at Holy Innocents on West 37th Street in Midtown Manhattan, a Votive Mass of St. Joseph was offered for Labor Day @ 1:15PM.

The Sound Of Silence Versus The Sound

In the Tridentine Latin Mass, Low Mass is said in a Whisper. Any Novus Ordo Mass has little to no near silence. One can call the Novus Ordo Mass an occassion of “Yack, Yack”, all done in the Name of “Participation.” The Music is mostly off key “Vomit, Barf & Puke”, especially in the Silly Season of Summer, a time of “Schutte-Haugen.”

The Votive Mass of St. Joseph was done entirely in Latin with No Homily. In Today’s Gospel, Jesus preached in the Synagogue of Nazareth. There were comments by the Congregation, such as being of the Family of Mary & Joseph. The Christ remarked that a Prophet is not welcome among His Own.

On Labour Day in The USA, The Votive Mass of St Joseph The Worker is offered in the Tridentine Latin Practice on the Traditional Calendar. On the Novus Ordo Mass Calendar, many feasts were moved around. On the Novus Ordo Mass Calendar, today Mother St. Teresa of Calcutta, on September 5th, Mass was offered on the Novus Ordo Mass Calendar. During Miraculous Medal Devotions, it was mentioned that Mother Teresa did give these Medals to every one she met.

Deo Gratias!
