Christmas Mass In The Octave

Christmas The Octave starts on Christmas Day & ends on The Octave on January 1st, known on the Tridentine Latin Mass Calendar as Feast of The Circumcision. During this the Feast of The Circumcision at Sta. Maria Maggiore, the Second Mass at That Roman Church is called The Mass of Mary Mother of God.

So I have decided to head to Mass in Latin on Sunday, December 25th, most likely at Holy Innocents on West 37th Street in Midtown Manhattan. Christmas Day there will be wonderful.

On the Octave, which is Sunday, January 1st, Holy Innocents will be where an 11:30PM Tridentine Latin Mass will occur on Saturday, December 31st, 2016, which will take The Faithful into Sunday, January 1st, 2017. I think of this as Mass of Alpha & Omega, Beginning & End. During Mass, 2016 will end & 2017 AD will begin.

Where I am in NYC, Military Helicopters are flying around in NYC. This will be Prevalent in Manhattan, Where “TheDonald45thPEOTUS” resides next door to St. Patrick’s Cathedral. It may not be a good night for NYC Travel. Daylight would be better.

Happy Christmas Octave! Happy Christmastide! And to our Jewish Neighbors, Happy Chanukkah, which began at Sundown on Saturday, December 24th.

Vivat Christus Rex!
