End of Nativity Cycle, Not Groundhog Day

Christmas begins in December & ends in February. Christmas itself begins on December 25th & ends on February 2nd, 40 days later. In the Roman & Byzantine Calendars, this is the day where The Child Jesus is presented in the temple. This in the Roman Rite is called Candlemas Day.

This day is the End of The Nativity Cycle and tomorrow begins the Easter Cycle.

This is also celebrated on The Gregorian Calendar in the Byzantine Rite. On the Julian Calendar, February 2nd is on February 15th. The Eastern Orthodox Churches & Those Byzantine Catholic Churches who celebrate on the Julian Calendar, begin Great Lent on March 15th, with Easter Sunday on May 2nd. Great Lent on the Gregorian Calendar begins Monday, February 15th. Roman Rite is Ash Wednesday, February 17th.

As for Groundhog Day, there is always the Bill Murray Movie.
